Tips for Eee PC shopping

So you want to buy Eee PC, but what should you know before you put up your money? There are a few things that you need to be aware of.

Tip #1

Be sure that you aren't buying the Eee PC as your main home computer. The Eee PC is a great computer, but it will not replace a powerful desktop or fully loaded laptop computer.

Tip #2

Be careful about cheap Eee PC computers. Why? There are a few different versions of the same Eee PC models. The differences will include:

Operating System

Windows XP Eee PC is cheaper than the Windows 7 Eee PC models. That shouldn't surprise you, however, there is nothing bad about Windows XP. In fact, early tests have shown better battery life from Window XP on netbooks.

Battery Size

This will be the main reason for price differences. Check for the 6 cell battery (more expensive) but it will provide you with the longest possible battery life from your Eee PC. Don't regret it later, just get the 6 cell versions.

Bluetooth

Depending on what model of Eee PC you are shopping for, the more economy versions do not include Bluetooth. Personally speaking, it's worthwhile going for the Bluetooth models. It's a wireless world and you should really consider the cost savings versus the convenience of Bluetooth accessories.
